Gone

I held a crystal in my hand, So perfect and sparklingly clear... With a sweep of a hand Broken, shattered into pieces... I held a diamond in my hand, A perfect cut, So beautiful... In an instant, snatched away... I held a rose in my hand, With petals so delicate and fragrance so sweet... Days passed, its petals turned brown One by one, they fell to the ground... Life is consistently inconsistent, Nothing definite... With a snap of a finger, everything stops In a blink of an eye, everything's gone Credits: Mdk

I Promise you baby...

Today you left me. How i had wanted you to stay with me for the next 100 + years. How cruel can god be at times. I didnt come to see you... you know why? Because I cant see you being taken away from me. You were my baby, my little red cheeked baby, who's smile lightened my whole atmosphere. I don't want to believe people who say you are no more. I'll sense you everyday, every moment. I run my fingers through the sand-art you gave me. I feel so nice, so calm as if you saying, "Come sis, I'll show you how to do it" I dunt want to believe you are no more. Those who say this are liars...They can't see the smile on your face. They envy you. Remember baby... You'll always be with me, come what may, you will always be the one I will call for when I'm troubled or tensed. You left me to enter a new world. why? I would have loved you more than anyone else. Why did you do this to your parents? I know you did nothing... you were a very good boy, a boy who neve...

Mouth Shut !

My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition. Indira Gandhi Now isn't that true? I had been in the first group for long until I realized that its time to be in both groups. I still deal with people who religiously follow the second category. They do no work, just boast and take all the credit... and oh my god, they boast with so much confidence! There was a time, when I thought they were just helping me, only to find out later that they were helping themselves by doing nothing but boasting! That makes me wonder..don't they feel guilty about it?.. don't they feel they should have given a helping hand... aahh what helping hand.. they are a part of the team and they should have put in equal efforts. They have time for parties, movies and even falling ill but they rarely have time for work. These kind of species are interesting a...

Me is Contradictory cuz Me is Tagged! ;)

Ok this is first time I'm Tagged. And Avi tagged me on such a post that I'd to think not once or twice but .... oh forget it, I've lost the count. So, I've got to put down something that is 'anti-to-each-other' in me. Initially, it was hard for me to accept that I'm very contradictory. Though I've always had this contradictory feeling about Life, I was never ready to accept it. what feeling about life you ask? Its the horror of life and the ecstasy of life that go together for me, yet they stand far apart. When questioned 'hows life going on?' I pause for a moment and wonder, what do I say? "How is my Life? Is it good? No, it's bad. But no, life has always been good." A part of my life is great. I love being here. It's fun. Then at the same time, life seems just like another 'going-through-the-hell' journey. While struggling to keep up with others in the race, I literally forgot what it means to be carefree. No I'...

Jocks v/s Nerds

Michael Jordan having "retired," with $40 million in endorsements, makes $178,100 a day, working or not. If he sleeps 7 hours a night, he makes $52,000 every night while visions of sugarplums dance in his head. If he goes to see a movie, it'll cost him $7.00, but he'll make $18,550 while he's there. If he decides to have a 5-minute egg, he'll make $618 while boiling it. He makes $7,415/hr more than minimum wage. He'll make $3,710 while watching each episode of Friends. If he wanted to save up for a new Acura NSX ($90,000) it would take him a whole 12 hours. If someone were to hand him his salary and endorsement money, they would have to do it at the rate of $2.00 every second. He'll probably pay around $200 for a nice round of golf, but will be reimbursed $33,390 for that round. Assuming he puts the federal maximum of 15% of his income into a tax deferred account (401k), his contributions will hit the federal cap of $9500 at 8:30 a.m. on January 1st. I...

Top 10 Reasons to date a geek girl.

This is hilarious.. read on... ;-) 10. She has traumatic memories from her K-12 education, or rather, the social interactions from her years before college. Your irrational fear of public bathrooms is not so irrational to her. 9. She’s smart, maybe even smarter than you. When she sees the string of acronyms after your name in your sig file, she gets excited. Conversely, she’ll taunt you when her string is longer. 8. She won’t look at you like you have two heads when you complain about bandwidth, when you scream at your computer, when you’ve taken apart your Xbox, when you start sewing a costume to wear at GenCon… 7. She understands your nutritional needs. She bakes cookies and orders pizza for D&D nights. When you’re playing WoW, she’ll cut your dinner into bite-sized pieces so you can eat and heal the main tank simultaneously. 6. If she doesn’t share your obsession with Star Wars, she at least understands it. The idea of a room wallpapered with figurines intrigues her and she’ll p...
