The broken vase, was never broken.

Ever come across a broken vase? a vase which was very dear to you, now shattered and you are hell bent on mending it? Even if you do so, it's totally impossible to make it look like the original one. Totally impossible to avoid the cracks unless you are that alien from ' Koi mil gaya' who makes use of the sun rays to mend broken things without leaving a crack on it. Just like this vase, trust once broken cannot be mended.. why? Because in the first place, the trust cannot broken at all. You ask me to define trust, I have no answers. You know the kind of feeling you get when you are with some people... like say, there are no barriers when you share things, you feel kinda safe around them, you can always count on them and even if you fight like cats n dogs you are back to each other within no minutes. Its like saying, 'I place my life in your palm'. These things don't happen within a day or two, it can't be forced upon either. It has to flow with time. Trust,...

Being a woman

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: 'Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through. So, please allow her body to switch with mine for a day Amen!' God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, Awakened the kids, Set out their school clothes, Fed them breakfast, Packed their lunches, Drove them to school, Came home and picked up the dry cleaning, Took it to the cleaners And stopped at the bank to make a deposit, Went grocery shopping, Then drove home to put away the groceries, Paid the bills and balanced the check book. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then, it was already 1P.M. And he hurried to make the beds, Did the laundry, vacuum, Dust, And sweep and mop the kitchen fl...

Side-effects

Overtime: If you are in a 9-5 job, and your man goes to office from 11am-11pm, you have to do Overtime. Meaning, you sleep late, get up early.. make food after you get home (even if you have had the toughest day in your life, first cook his food). Food : As much as he might be OK with you not knowing how to cook, he expects you will learn and make him some good food, if not as good as his moms (never will be), atleast something edible. Food changes everything : His mood, his feelings for you, his opinion of you. Believe me, EVERYTHING. His friends/ your friends : become 'Our Friends' "Commitment" : the word that scares him the most in the English dictionary. The 2-faced man: as much as he likes you to be 'western' in your clothing, he would Really prefer the traditional girl in you. The Kid: Men will always be boys. They don't grow up..EVER. Appreciate his brilliance from time to time: Men like to be appreciated for their ideas/ methods / conversations / a...

Anger n Love

A man was polishing his car when his 4 year old son picked a stone and scratched the sides of the car. In a fit of anger, the man hit the kid's hands many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. The child was then admitted to a hospital where it was said that the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the man enters the child's ward, the innocent kid asks him, "Dad, when will my fingers grow?" The Man grows speechless. He goes back to car and kicks it. Frustrated by his own actions and sitting in front of the car his eyes fall on the scratches done by his child. The kid had written... "I love you Dad". Anger and love has no limits, so like a river, let the life flow so that this fresh water stream is never scattered.

A fully refined silver.

Bible - Malachi 3:3 says: 'HE sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'HE sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it was t...
