The National Anthem of India
Ask this question and I bet you'll get shocking answers. Some say 'vande mataram', some say 'Can't remember', some who gave the right answer had to think over it before poppin' a 'still-in-doubt' answer..'jana gana mana' and some are 'oh-so-clever'..they will inturn question you..'what's it?'. It's a shame to see Indians being so careless about their country, their own country! On the contrary, when it comes to cricket and mallika sherawat, all have the figures on the tip of their tongue. No one says one should know everything about their country... from polictics to games and from entertainment to social service. But I strongly believe if one stays in a particular place, he/she should know 'about' that place. So, this week, while celebrating our 62nd free year, I would like to share whatever I know about India and even gain more knowledge regarding the same.

Thou are the ruler of the minds of all people, dispenser of India's destiny.
The name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind, Gujurat and Maratha. Of the Dravid and Orissa and Bengal.
It Echoes in the hills of Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganga and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.
They pray for your blessing and sing thy praise. The salvation of all peaople is thy hand, thou dispenser of India's destiny. Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.
