I dedicate this week to all the National Heros who fought and also sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Without them, you would have never got the chance to read what I have posted because in the first place I wouldn't have got to work on a system.. let alone Internet!

ReplyDeleteBut of what use is Freedom to a nation where most do not understand what it means, and those who do never accept it?
I know I sound pessimistic (which I am not), but it will take something huge in magnitude to make people realise the value of their freedom:
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

ReplyDeleteYes you are definitely right. There are very few people who have realized the value of freedom.
For me, freedom means the opportunity to be what I never thought I would be.
Likewise people will have their own definition of freedom.
But when we call it a Free Country, it does mean it has a hell lot of opportunities to raise high. Again, the decision is in the hands of the people of that nation on how well to use that Freedom. Now that's where we as a nation are lacking!
