Mugged-up engineers

Is it the whole world or just me who's getting this horrible feeling of being crushed under tests, assignments and... gossips! oh well, has to be only me. Things have become so hectic, the day seems to have less than 24 hours and my fingers seem to have lost the energy and my body seems to have lost the appetite.

What am I saying? Aint I sounding like a "seriously-mentally ill-girly-haunted-female"?? Well yes, I am atleast half of the above... 'girly-haunted-female' not 'seriously-mentally ill' :P

I hate Maths(Alegbra/Geometry/ and eveyrthing that has this)..... I've never understood why would a student have to mug-up formulaes? Understanding the derivation is fine. But mugging up formulaes? I mean that is weird. Many might not find it weird cuz they are habituated to this mugging things....

I believe people responsible for such a bad situation are teachers. I've observed that when answers are a ditto copy of the books, they are given more marks. But when the student writes the same answer in a "non-bookish" language, he/she is awarded with less or no marks. Rarely I see professors encouraging students to write answers in the way they've understood.

Why to attend lectures?, if our only aim is to gain some numbers and present a knowledge-less dumb headed engineer to the professional world, screw up India's future and be a 'kala-dhapa' on the face of Information Technology !
