The harmless little Breeze
"What harm can a little breeze do to me? ", thought the man. He had owned this breeze for long now. She loved to blow across the country, over the hills, across the ocean and around the fields. She was a chirpy but a gentle breeze. She enjoyed the singing of birds that greeted her as she made her way through the medieval countryside. She loved it when people heaved a sigh of relief as she went past them, giving them a piece of her. But then she was a lone breeze. Different, yet one of her kind. She believed in the doing the right things, even if it meant a scolding from the God of Winds. But since He knew she was right in a way, he always let her have it her way, which was the only reason for jealousy to prevail in the other breezes. But hardly did she care. She did what she was born for. Spreading Happiness and Laughter.
One day, she committed a mistake, a grave mistake. She broke the rules. The little breeze made friends with a man. This little reason was enough for her fellow breezes to get angry with her. After all she broke the rules... she broke the law!
One day, she committed a mistake, a grave mistake. She broke the rules. The little breeze made friends with a man. This little reason was enough for her fellow breezes to get angry with her. After all she broke the rules... she broke the law!
But Wind God knew what she was doing.... He smiled quietly, winked and said, 'Go Ahead'. He knew, it was destiny. She had to face it.
For the little breeze, it was her new found freedom. She enjoyed living with her new friend. Their friendship flourished. But this had other plans. He wanted to capture her and make her his slave. He wanted her to blow only for him. As days passed, the man became more dominating. His behavior changed. He was rude to her. She, being an innocent breeze was confused with his ways, but readily forgave him every time he hurt her. She never did leave his side... with a hope he will mend his ways. Then one fine day, he said something that hurt her the most... even more, it made her angry that she had once befriended a man like him. He said, 'It is no use being friends with you anymore. Nothing will I gain from your friendship. It's useless to me' He left feeling proud with what he had done After all he shut a breeze! Hurt and Angry, the breeze stopped blowing. Fields, crops.. all dried up. Wind God who was watching her, called her and said, 'Break free from your worries little breeze. Do what you are suppose to do. Show the world what you actually are.' With these words, he vanished, leaving her to face the cruel realities of the world.
It was not long before the man realized his mistake. He asked for forgiveness, but now the breeze had changed. She had decided to make him pay for his mistakes. It wasn't the right way, but she believed it severed the purpose! The little harmless breeze had suddenly transformed into a Storm!
